In fifth grade, I wore a pair of yellow hiking boots with a cerulean blue floor-length skirt five sizes too big, which I used a hair elastic to hold up on my nonexistant hips. Yesterday, I wore red patent leather Salvatore Ferragamo flats with my Ted Baker wool frock coat. We all have humble beginnings, and I believe that money and societal suppression of individualism should be no barrier to find our own unique ways of expression.

I believe in finding your own individual style in a world where so much of fashion is just the same thing, again and again. I believe consignment shopping would kick online shopping's butt many times over in a fight. I believe in 1950's Dior, and Elie Saab's beading. I believe in Audrey's Hepburn's eyebrows, and Audrey Tatou's hair. I believe in making mistakes so that we can do better next time. I believe in loving yourself, when everything would tell you not to. I believe life is a beautiful thing, and shouldn't be taken too seriously. Side note: I believe in you. You go, you fantastic human being.
