Vampire Vibes

I like to tell myself that I'm over my gothic middle school phase.

I'm really not. Red and black will always be the sexiest color combination in my opinion, besides black and black. It combines the most vibrant and understated of all colors, and somehow blends instead of clashing. Just like how politics would be, if opposing party members could compromise and resolve legitimate issues instead of spending most of their efforts bashing each other.

I consider frock coats almost to be dresses unto themselves. Obviously, you should wear something under them, but the fuller lower portion and fitted bodice area can serve as an actual frock would. Also, they are hella cute and flattering, so I wear mine even indoors when it's cooler. Just unbutton, and voila! You, too, can be an overdressed hermit crab.

Coat

If I start really typing about this beautiful piece, then I'll probably never stop. So this is me trying really hard not to do so. It's a struggle. Oh my god I love this thing. OK ONE THING: Pleasepleaseplease choose wool for winter outer layers. It is so much warmer than any other material, and thus, you can get away with wearing fewer layers and you can prevent bulking.

Dress

A-Line velvet dresses are a basic so easy to come by in any store, but the fact that this is from the 60s makes me happy. Also, the skirt is a bit fuller than those produced nowadays. One way the clothing industry attempts to save money is by minimizing the amount of fabric used. Older products are generally better at not cutting quality corners like this.

"Store": Awesome on-campus vintage clothing sale randomly set up in the student union.

This hat is awesome. And it is wool. And red. You will notice that the coat is awesome. And it is wool. And red. Thus, happiness is on my head. I didn't mean for that to rhyme but that fact that is did makes me very happy as well. Shell. Bell.
